2- “Innovators in Education” Project
About the Program:
The National Educational Development Center (NEDC) launched the “Innovators in Education” Project in 2022, in partnership with the College of Engineering, represented by the Technology Innovation and Engineering Education Unit, and the College of Business and Economics, represented by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence.
The project aims to promote a culture of creativity and innovation in the educational field by encouraging educators and students to design and develop innovative educational tools that contribute to improving the quality of education.
This initiative aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, which seeks to build a knowledge-based economy that relies on developing human capabilities, fostering innovation, and utilizing technology to advance education.
The project has received support from ExxonMobil Qatar, which has contributed to expanding its reach and enhancing its impact within the local educational community.
Program Objectives:
• Develop applicable educational tools aimed at improving learning opportunities.
• Encourage educators and university students to provide effective solutions to address challenges in educational and professional settings.
• Design effective educational tools in the field of STEM that contribute to shaping learners’ attitudes toward future careers.
• Build professional learning communities through which educators inside and outside Qatar exchange ideas on innovative educational tools.
