Students at Qatar University can update their personal information such as (name, nationality, and contact information) by filling out an application Update personal information , print it and bring it to the Records Section in the Student Affairs Sector Building (I 11), along with the original passport and identity card, as well as copies for each. Data will be corrected upon request.
The student can also send an e-mail to the Student Records Department with a request for data amendment and attached copies of the passport and ID to be sent to:Records@qu.edu.qa
The change of catalog term form is to be filled by the College based on the consultation with the student’s academic advisor. Student changing to a new catalog term will be required to meet all graduation/ degree requirements listed in the new catalog. This form should be sent to the Records Section for implementation within two business days.
The following apply to all substitute course requests:
- The course substitute form is to be used ONLY if a course the student is required to study is phased out or if the study plan the student is assigned has been changed.
- The form should be filled upon academic advisor consultation and then sent by the respective College to the Records Section for processing.
- The Associate/Assistant Dean for Students Affairs and the Department Head in the respective College are responsible of making sure that all submitted forms are clear and complete.
- Forms that are incomplete will not be considered by the Records Section and will be returned to the respective College.
- Requests for substitute courses after the deadline (mentioned on the top of the form) are not allowed.
- The request must not violate any of the University’s academic rules.
- A course may be used as a substitute only once towards graduation requirements.
Third party degree verification requests can be sent to the Records Section email at records@qu.edu.qa or registrationdir@qu.edu.qa. The Records Section will verify the requested student’s records details and a letter of “To Whom It May Concern” will be issued for the student.
